garra-fans.com Launches Redesigned Website

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (April 20, 2009) – Grand-Am Road Racing’s most popular fan and news website, garra-fans.com launched its newly re-designed website today. It features a new, clean look, easier navigation and many new features.

“This redesign further shows our commitment to upgrading our coverage of Grand-Am. The fourth version of garra-fans.com will offer fans some great new options on the site,” stated webmaster Tommy Brolsma. “This is also a step forward in what we can offer advertisers, too.

Some of the new features of garra-fans.com v4.0 include better layout for stories and articles, a search function, improved photo galleries, the ability to save articles as Adobe Acrobat files, and a fresh, uniform look for the site. Many of the old features remain, such as the chat area and GAFL fantasy league.

garra-fans.com is Grand-Am Road Racing’s number one fan site and most popular news and photo site that is dedicated solely to Grand-Am’s Rolex Sports Car and Koni Challenge Series. It was started in 2003 by a group of fans (known as the Cognoscenti) and with the help of site sponsor GTP Activewear. ^ TOP

Sput’s Notes: KONI Challenge Miami- Homestead 2009

A great race weekend goes to the dogs!
By Dan Dodge

The two races I saw this weekend at Miami-Homestead in the KONI Challenge Series were two of the best races I have ever seen. In the ST race on Saturday, Christian Miller & Randy Pobst in the Compass360 Racing Honda Civic Si edged Derek Whitis & Tom Long in the Freedom Autosport Mazda MX-5 by just a car length or so. Then to follow that, on Sunday Billy Johnson & Peter Ludwig in the Motorsports Technology Group Porsche 997 eked out a win over John Potter & Andy Lally in The Racer’s Group Porsche 997 by a car length plus a smidgen.

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (March 15, 2009) - Just when one thought it couldn't get any closer than Saturday's Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge Street Tuner (ST) race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Billy Johnson and Andy Lally nearly did so in Sunday's Grand Sport (GS) race, the second of two KONI Challenge races in the Grand-Am Fan Appreciation Weekend.
